Artist member since 2020
I am a Toronto-based artist/painter that is currently attending OCAD University for Drawing & Painting. I grew up in rural Ontario where I was able to study under local artists focusing on the formal qualities of oil paint and attend an arts program for conceptual-based work. My work has focused on ideas of luxury goods, sexualized figures and the human experience. Recently, my work has focused on merging digital existence and physical existence with an emphasis on the human form. I allow the computer to abstract images of the human form through digital models and animation software. Using the computer to construct references allows the works to be directed by the computer and executed by me the artist, it is a hybrid human-computer creation.

When did you start making art, and why?
My great grandfather was a Toronto wrestler and painter. When I turned 12 my grandmother passed his paints down to me and I never looked back. I still use his brushes and supplies to remind me of his legacy.
Your favourite spot in Toronto right now
Harbour Front. I've always loved the water and nature especially in the city.

What do you listen to when you work?
Depends on my mood. Most of the time I like to be able to hear the brushstrokes, sometimes I call a friend or I listen to music that sound the way I want my work to feel.
